DE MEDICI AND CIPRIANI® FOOD WIN GOLD SOFI™ FROM THE SPECIALTY FOODS ASSOCIATION

Elizabeth, NJ —

An exclusive partnership, established at the beginning of this year, between Atalanta Corporation / De Medici Imports and Cipriani Food is pleased to announce the recent victory for this year's Specialty Food Association's sofi™ Awards. Since 1972, the competition has honored innovation and great taste to tastemakers worldwide. The competition occurred at the Rutgers Food Innovation Center, where nearly 2,000 pre-qualified products were submitted. Winners are determined through a blind-tasting process in highly competitive categories, criteria including flavor, appearance, texture, aroma, ingredient quality, and creativity. De Medici Imports has been recognized by sofi™ over 30 times in various categories since 1995.

From Venice, Italy- Cipriani Tagliolini Delicata won gold in the Pasta & Noodle Category—Cipriani Food crafted a yolk-free dough, reducing cholesterol to a minimum, but not the taste. Produced in Cipriani's pasta factory using an exclusive machine designed by Arrigo Cipriani. This unique technique involves more than 60 rolling and lamination steps for the simple dough of just two ingredients; the finest quality Italian durum wheat semolina and egg whites. Simple ingredients, master techniques, and expertise to create a delicate, light egg white pasta with an extraordinary consistency; thin, velvety, and soft with elasticity for the perfect "al dente" pasta. A healthy alternative to enjoy a plate of pasta with a light heart, just like the dough of the delicate pasta sheet.

Cipriani Tagliolini Delicata and all the other category winners will be exhibited at the 2023 Summer Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center in New York City. The 2023 Product of the Year and New Product of the Year Awards will also be announced live during the three-day event from June 25th to June 27th.

Marco Avogaro, Cipriani Food Managing Director, says, "Receiving this prize is an acknowledgment of the philosophy of the four Cipriani generations, which have been able to pursue their vision of bringing the finest Venetian cuisine and hospitality to the world. It also recognizes our efforts to deliver quality: attention to detail, finest ingredient research, and artisanal processes are at the heart of our work."

"We are thrilled with this special recognition for this unique pasta. This speaks to the craftsmanship of the Cipriani team and their dedication to honoring the legacy of luxury in simplicity and sharing it with everyone; in their restaurants and our homes." says Maria Roemer, Senior Business Development Manager at De Medici Imports.

Cipriani Food, a division of the legendary four-generation hospitality family that opened Harry's Bar in Venice in 1931, has since welcomed guests worldwide. In 1983, the family established Cipriani Food, providing recipes and a curated selection of the finest products inspired by their heritage. The same values of research for quality, attention to detail, simple flavors, and excellent service is carried on by generations of the family for over 90 years.
