The Director Foodservice Division is responsible for establishing a sales & marketing strategic and tactical plan that meets the company's growth expectations for the Foodservice distribution channel.
Develop a strategic division sales & marketing plan to generate revenue, achieve profit margin goals and grow distribution of Atalanta products in all assigned channels of business.
Manage and direct the assigned sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within the division.
Mentor, coach and develop direct reportsManage the daily activities and sales plans of the account specialists, area sales managers, senior area sales managers, sales division managers and directors within the division.
Ensure that assigned personnel adequately follow the policies and procedures of the department and organizationProvide adequate performance feedback and if necessary take appropriate and timely action on any disciplinary issue.
Develop and manage the relationship at the corporate level for national broad line distributors such as GFS, US Foods, PFG and Sysco.
Develop and implement promotional plans and product pricing strategies in collaboration with the Atalanta product management group, distributors and/or key operators.
Report division sales activity on a timely basis and provide adequate feedback relative to variances in sales and profit targets.
Provide research data to internal constituents for product development and anticipated product launchesIdentify new distribution opportunities within the division then establish, maintain and grow profitable sales utilizing the assigned sales force.
Stay abreast of local market conditions that affect sales volume.
Develop product knowledge and participate in product training opportunities of all Atalanta product categories.
Ensure that product codes, quantities, prices, promotions, ship dates, delivery dates and all required order inputs are completed with the highest level of accuracy possible by direct reports and the division sales group.
Work in conjunction with accounts receivable to ensure that the division sales group resolves and/or substantiates customer invoice deductions and credits.
Work closely across the organization to ensure service levels are met, service level issues are resolved timely with needed process improvements are proposed and/or implemented to avoid recurring issues.
Work closely and effectively with customers, sales personnel, warehouse personnel, product managers, suppliers and other Atalanta personnel as needed.
Ensure a proactive problem solving approach to errors and quality issues.
Take actions to resolve division customer issues promptly.
Respond timely to customer inquiriesAnswer phone calls, respond to e-mail and all other forms of communication promptly.
Ability work flexible hours as assigned.
